I previously used the Kirkland Minoxidil foam but I found these drops to be a much better value. They are less expensive and once you get used to the application you end up saving money and I'm very happy with the coverage and the results.
I have been using Kirkland Minoxidil Solution for 4-1/2 months. I have noticed some hair regrowth, but not a lot so that it covers the scalp. That being said, because it seems to work somewhat, it might work better on other individuals.
update after 6 months: My hair is thin to begin with, so Kirkland Minoxidil is not making the new hair thicker at all, but it does cause new hair to grow. Not as much as I'd like, but I'm 72 and maybe age is a factor. It does work but the outcome will be different for each individual I think.
Works well with derma stamping once a week. I have new hair coming in. My stylist noticed and thought it was crazy. Took about 2 months to notice. Use it every night and it actually adds a “root boost” to my very fine hair.

My dermatologist recommended Kirkland Minoxidil for my thinning hair. I have been using this brand for over 1-1/2 years and I do see the difference with thinning spots on my scalp. This one seems more reasonable than the others, and it does work.
Backstory: I'm a 35yo female with a family history of androgenic alopecia. I started thinning around 30yo. I've also had issues with anemia and low testosterone, which I treated first before starting Minoxidil. I tried oral Minoxidil first but had side effects and had to discontinue. I've been using this product for five months with good results so far. I tried the foam in the past, but I prefer the liquid for more precise application. I use an applicator with multiple small rollerballs to ensure it's getting on my scalp instead of my hair. It can be quite messy if you apply it using the dropper. Initially I was using it twice a day and I did experience a scary increase in shedding after several weeks. The shedding lasted about a week. I knew this was expected so I continued using the product but decreased to once a day and I'm still noticing improvement with minimal shedding. I also take Nutrafol vitamins daily, use Ketoconazole shampoo every other wash, and take Iron supplements. I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my hair. I will admit that my scalp was a little irritated when I first started to use the product but it was remedied with Head and Shoulders shampoo before I switched to Ketoconazole. I honestly think my scalp adjusted to the product too. My only con is the scalp flaking. It isn't a deal breaker and it has decreased but I still have to comb flakes out of my hair occasionally. I use a scalp brush in the shower to help. Overall, the benefit of Kirkland Minoxidil is worth it to continue using. Consistency is key and push through the initial shedding!
Since September 25th, I've been using this product. Initially, I noticed some hair shedding, which caused a bit of concern. After reading online, I decided to give it a try since I had nothing to lose—I was already experiencing hair loss and had tried numerous treatments before. I'm sharing this review to help others who understand the struggle of balding. Thankfully, I'm happy to report that I've seen regrowth, though it required patience.

I purchased Kirkland Minoxidil online and began treatment (one application nightly) one month ago after mentioning to my physician, & her nurse practitioner. I also mentioned to my opthalmologist who is treating me for glaucoma. All said to go ahead. I visited my hairdresser today and she took pictures after noting the new hair growth. We'll continue to check via photo, but I can see the new growth myself. I will continue to use this product. It is labeled "for men" but my doctor said it was ok for me. I use once daily as others said in these reviews, in evening hours prior to bedtime. Next day hair looks a bit disheveled but a quick brush-out restores everything. No after effects or sensations other than what you feel when cold drops of liquid touch scalp -- massage in to scalp and you're done.
As a physician, I know that the problem of androgenic alopecia is multifactorial and this must be addressed in multiple ways. One of these is 5% minoxidil used permanently on a twice a day regimen, followed with vigorous massage into the scalp. Other modalities to assist include prescription DHT enzyme blockers such as finasteride and dutasteride, along with microneedling and using shampoo without sulfates (which create an acidic environment on the scalp) Further additional benefit can be attained with low level laser therapy used for about a half hour every other day.

Awesome hair treatment. I have noticed that my hairline has gotten a little lower now since I have used this product. To any body who purchases this item please buy a highly vitamin shampoo to make your hair grow faster and stronger as well. Because if you add both products, you will have great results, please be aware that if you do have grey or white hair, it will bleach it, so take your time when using it.
